Charleston Recap

Two weeks ago, my best friends and I were packing up, getting ready to leave to head to CHARLESTON, SC.

To say that we were excited would be a huge understatement!

Lauren, Brooke, Shelby, Kelsie and myself (Kara was on family vacay the same week) decided to plan a girls trip for this summer. After tossing around many ideas, we came to the conclusion that we wanted to go to a beach. Since none of us had ever been to Charleston we decided that would be the perfect spot for our trip! And yes, it was PERFECT!

Time spent with my besties, relaxing on the beach, seeing beautiful scenery and eating amazing meals was just what this girl needed.

We stayed in an AirBnB on James Island, which had a great patio and the cutest little dock.

We arrived Saturday afternoon and quickly unpacked. We got ready and then headed out for dinner! We decided to try out Taco Boy per many recomendations, and it did not disappoint!

Sunday morning we went to church at the cathedral, which was beautiful. We headed to Bagel Nation for a quick bite before making the drive to Folly Beach. Since we were there on a Holiday weekend (Memorial Day)  the traffic to the beach was insane. We stayed at the beach until late afternoon when we all realized we were pretty burnt.. oops. We went to Pier 101 for dinner this night and during our entire trip, this was the only meal we were not impressed with. :(

Monday we ate breakfast at Hominy Grill and the food was fantastic. After breakfast we hit up the market downtown, then made our way to King Street for some awesome shopping. We stopped at Henry's for dinner before going back home for the evening. When we got back to our house,  and played the game What Do You Meme? thanks to Lauren for bringing it becasue it gave us MANY laughs!

Tuesday we made our way to The Lost Dog cafe after being given many recommendations to try it and we sure were glad we listened! Then we headed out of the city to Magnolia Plantation. We got a tour of the house, got to walk through the petting zoo and garden areas and went on a nature tour. Next, we hit up The Washout for happy hour, I'll forever cherish time spent just chilling and talking with these girls.

Wednesday morning we woke up went to the Early Bird Diner and then headed back to our house to pack up and head home :(

It was a trip of a lifetime! These four girls are my jam, I'm so thankful I get to do life with them.

A trip with my besties was good for this girl's soul.

Xoxo,

Liz
